Made by me from vintage dark cotton denim bought in Peru during my gap year, this piece is all about giving beautiful fabric a second life. It started as a pair of jeans, and after turning them into shorts, I couldn’t let the offcuts go — they’ve been waiting patiently ever since for their moment!
Raw frayed edges have been carefully stitched to strengthen and preserve the look, while faux pockets and a vintage 80s gold metal button back cinch add a subtle nod to classic denim styling.
It’s the kind of piece that works however you wear it — over a simple tee for laid-back festival days, or layered over a checked shirt for a more western-inspired feel.
